Pink Floyd's Roger Waters to Launch 'Us + Them' Tour in May & Tickets Are Rising in Price

Last month, Roger Waters announced his plans for a 2017 North American summer tour. The  Us + Them Tour is scheduled to kick off on May 26 in Kansas City and will stretch out across 40 dates, making stops in cities like St. Louis, Tampa, Pittsburgh and more.

The tour is already leading some of the top-priced treks of 2017, as tickets to see Roger Waters are currently averaging $264 across all of his performances. Roger Waters will begin his route in Kansas City, at the Sprint Center on May 26, where tickets are currently averaging $244. He has two stops scheduled at The Staples Center in Los Angeles for June 20 and 21, and tickets for both nights can be found for as low as $86.

In September, he will make his way through the tri-state area with a stop in New Jersey at the Prudential Center on Sept. 7, where tickets are averaging $279, and two stops in Brooklyn on Sept. 11 and 12. Tickets to see Roger Waters at the Barclays Center are currently averaging $323 with the cheapest tickets available for $89, according to data provided by TicketIQ.

The Us + Them Tour is derived from Pink Floyd's 1973 disc, Dark Side Of  The  Moon. While out on the road, Waters promises to perform many Pink Floyd classics, and he will also debut new material off his expected upcoming solo record, with a release date still to be announced.

The Pink Floyd co-founder recently performed at the first-ever Desert Trip music festival in Indio, California. The historic festivals was held over two weekends, and included fellow rock & roll legends Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and The Who.

Roger Waters announces “US + Them” 2017 Tour

"Probably 75 percent of it will be old material and 25 percent will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme."

Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters has announced “Us + Them”, a new 40-date North American tour set for the summer of 2017.

Arriving four years after Waters’ record-breaking world tour of Pink Floyd’s The Wall, the forthcoming jaunt promises all new material

— presumably from his forthcoming, yet-to-be-announced solo album — along with Pink Floyd favorites and other relics. He’ll accompany the music with a “high class, state-of-the-art audio visual production and breathtaking quad sound.”

Update:

In a new interview, Waters spoke extensively about his new album.

In a statement announcing the tour, Waters said, “We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very secret. It’ll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably 75% of it will be old material and 25% will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you. It’ll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”

The title of the tour is of course derived from the Dark Side of the Moon track “Us And Them”.
